Ledja: a shop book app for Ugandan shops, now free to use

Most shops in Uganda keep a book: what was sold, who took on credit, what has finished. It is a good habit, but a book can't add up, can't remind anyone, and doesn't know what you paid for the sugar. Ledja is that book on your phone, and it does those things for you.

What Ledja does

  • Sales in seconds. Tap the items or scan the barcode. Ledja adds it up and tells you the change. Cash, Mobile Money, bank, credit, or part of each.
  • Who owes you. Every customer who buys on credit gets an account. Part payments are recorded, and one tap sends a polite reminder on WhatsApp.
  • Stock that keeps itself. Every sale comes off your stock, so you see what is running low before it runs out.
  • Your real profit. Today, this week or this month, after expenses like rent and transport, with an end-of-day cash-up.
  • Works without internet. Keep selling with no network or data bundle. Records sync by themselves when you're back online.
  • Staff with their own PINs. Cashiers sell; only owners and managers change prices and stock or see profit.

Free while we test it

Ledja is free for the first shops. If we ever start charging, we'll say so at least 30 days before, and you can download all your records at any time. Your data is private to your shop: no adverts, nothing sold.

Start your shop on Ledja. It takes about five minutes on any Android phone or iPhone. Questions? WhatsApp us on +256 762 117727.
